Kids will love the World Cafe for its lively buffet (warning: there’s a dessert buffet!) and, in the evenings, fire-/seaside dining. You never have to bother with reservations and most of the restaurants have minimal waits if any. The resort boasts seven different dining options and four bars and we don’t think you’ll be disappointed in any of them. Good to Know: This family-friendly resort doesn’t require you to bring your family! They even have a grown-ups only pool and restaurant.
You can also visit the concierge to arrange special rates at any of the three near-by golf courses. There is a gift shop near the lobby that has souvenirs and on some nights local vendors set up on grounds for a few hours. Other sightseeing trips include sunset cruises that are family-friendly and trips into nearby towns (primarily for shopping) and older kids (5 and up) can join in on snorkeling excursions that will leave Finding Dory in the dust. Do yourself a favor and stop by the concierge early in your trip to book. Kids will enjoy the glass bottom boat tours but be advised most of these depart in the morning hours. In-lobby concierge services are available to help you plan your off-resort excursion. (Note all rooms come with fully stocked mini-bars that are refreshed daily with juice, water and beer).įeel even better: The resort is also Rainforest Alliance certified and you’ll find recyclables and “organic” waste receptacles throughout the resort. Guests wishing to up their experience can also enroll in the Preferred Club where you will get a suite in prime location, a private “members-only” lounge which offers evening happy-hours and unlimited top-shelf spirits in your mini-bar. As an added bonus, the spa is directly across from the Explorer’s Club so you can drop the munchkins off and really treat yourself. They even have kid-friendly treatments, like a chocolate body wrap or kiddie pedicures. From pedicures to body wraps to massage, every treatment includes access to the spa’s steam room, mineral bath and sauna, so be sure and give yourself some time on either end of your treatment to bask in the glory. Spa treatments are not part of the “all-inclusive” package but well worth the splurge. Stick with the Sundial, a daily on-site flyer you’ll receive at turn-down service that lists the next day’s schedule. Tip: At the time of this writing, the Dreams mobile app’s daily schedule was not current, especially in regards to the Explorer’s Club activities. It’s a great way for the kiddos to socialize with some of the other minor guests. There are specific times when you do need to get your child: lunch and dinner. If you are late picking your child up, you will be charged a $20/hr babysitting fee. We did not find this to be a problem: you can leave your cell number or just write down your room number and where you think you will be while the child is with the club. When you drop them off, you will receive a pager in case staff needs to find you however pagers are subject to availability. It’s drop-off, but you cannot leave the grounds while your child is there. There is no fee to use the club, as it’s included in the Unlimited Luxury services but there are a couple rules that you should know going in. (There’s a climbing wall and a beach trampoline that are only allowed use as part of the Explorer’s Club group.) Crafts, music, movies and more are on the daily changing lineup of fun for the kiddos. This kids-only club allows children to take advantage of some of the amenities geared just toward them. The resort also includes a shallow-water children’s pool with killer views of the beach and a not-to-be ignored giant outdoor chess set. There are daily activities for the grown-ups, like yoga and aquatic volleyball, as well. which cuts down on late-night pool partiers and central noise. If you’re craving more there’s an on-site dance club and, of course, the bars. You don’t have to worry about exuberant kids disturbing the peace, yet most outside-action winds down by 11p.m., leaving you plenty of time to chill on the veranda, listening to the sound of the crashing waves while the littles sleep it off. Dreams Los Cabos has the right blend of lively-think in-lobby circus performances and live music-and relaxed. All rooms have an ocean-view (rooms higher up will be a little less noisy during the day). Unlimited Luxury means all food and drink, from the piña colada you ordered at the swim-up bar to the lavish dinner you devoured by starlight, is included.
If you’ve never been to an all-inclusive resort you may find it hard to believe that everything is, in fact, included (and anything that isn’t is very clearly stated so there are no surprises upon checkout).
